Manufacturing
The machining plant, with a surface area of more than 4,000 m2, has over 20 years' experience in machining all kinds of material (high-strength steels above 140 Kg/mm2, aluminium and titanium alloys).
The machining park, in addition to the machining centres, turning centres, spotting machines, etc. also has machinery for high quality surface finishes, such as a cylinder lapping machine for depths up to 1 metre, a numerically controlled grinder, a cell for reel manufacturing and coupling, etc.

The plant organisation is based on flexible cells that allow producing a wide range of components, both in sizeand technology, with short lead times. The modern numerically controlled machinery is integrated in a DNC network, allowing to send the machining programs to the machines directly from Manufacturing Engineering. A pre-setting machine, also connected to the DNC network, facilitates tool measurement and preparation, incorporating the settings necessary for the NC program, assuring maximum product quality and process reliability.
The production control, supported by powerful and modern management software (SAP), not only allows management of the planning, material purchase and issuing of orders, but also an efficient control of the plant and the status of work in progress.
In addition to the machining plant, CESA is provided with certified facilities for the following operations: steel heatl treatment, nitriding, shot peening (steel and glass beads), cadmium plating, brazing, chromium plating, hard chromium plating, chromic and sulphuric anodising, hard anodising and plating. Several of these processes are automated. CESA also has the necessary facilities for non destructive inspections.
